An unforgettable experience in the heart of Alaska
The “Person of the Year Award” ceremony will be much more than an awards presentation. It will be a night of inspiration, art, and celebration of our Hispanic roots.
The awards ceremony and gala lounge will take place at the auditorium:
The Glenn Massay Theater – 8295 E College Dr, Palmer, AK 99645, United States
The evening will also include live artistic performances and the moving participation of a mariachi, connecting us with the soul of our culture.
This event not only recognizes individual journeys, but also builds community, inspires purpose, and supports a cause: free education for Hispanic communities around the world.
During the event, exclusive trophies will be presented, designed by Mexican artist Rafael Alatriste, created especially to honor the legacy and contributions of Hispanics from around the world who are making a positive impact across different fields.
The X of CREA LatinX, a symbol of unity, diversity, and the multiplication of opportunities, becomes the trophy of the Person of the Year Award.
We now invite you to discover the magic behind its creation from scratch: each trophy is a work of art, crafted to honor those who are transforming realities.

Set in an elegant and welcoming space, the Gala Dinner offers the perfect atmosphere to connect, take photos, and continue celebrating together.
This unforgettable evening brings together exceptional food, meaningful conversations, and a shared moment of celebration at one of Alaska’s most beloved culinary destinations.

We invite you to explore everything Alaska has to offer on the official tourism website:
There you will find options for activities, excursions, restaurants, events, and local recommendations to make your trip truly unforgettable.
Claudia Jones shares these activity suggestions to enjoy Alaska.
Although she will not be able to join you on this occasion, she recommends these experiences so each person can choose what they like most and make their own reservation:
Location: Reflection Lake, within the Palmer Hay Flats Refuge (15 minutes from Wasilla).
Cost: Free admission.
Description: Easy trail (1 mile), surrounded by forest and featuring a wooden boardwalk around the lake. Perfect for panoramic photos and a relaxing walk.
Location: Independence Mine State Historical Park, Hatcher Pass (40 minutes from Wasilla).

⚠️ Important: If you plan to add the train, please do so at least 7 days in advance. Otherwise, call to ensure transportation availability.
Alaska is part of the United States, so if you are traveling from another country, you will need a valid U.S. tourist visa to enter.
We recommend starting the application process well in advance at the U.S. consulate or embassy closest to your place of residence.
The closest airport is Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC).
From there, the drive to Wasilla or Palmer takes approximately one hour. This will be the arrival point for most international attendees.
Upon arriving at the airport, we recommend renting a vehicle through traditional companies such as Enterprise, Alamo, Avis, Hertz, among others. You may also consider renting a car through the Turo app, ideally booking a few days in advance. We suggest having a vehicle available throughout your stay for greater comfort and convenience.
The event will take place in Wasilla and Palmer, two neighboring cities where each venue is located approximately 15 minutes from the other. Anchorage International Airport is about one hour away from Wasilla and Palmer, so having your own transportation will greatly facilitate your travel during the event.
Please keep in mind that in Alaska, the availability of taxis and services such as Uber is limited, and costs are often high. For this reason, having your own vehicle will provide greater flexibility, independence, and peace of mind throughout your visit.
If you are unable to find availability at the host hotel, you may stay at an Airbnb in the Palmer or Wasilla areas.
Both cities are very close to the event venue and offer comfortable, well-located accommodation options.
